A massive congratulations to Oakleigh Go-Kart Racing Club members Peter Gigis and Chris Lowe for their outstanding performances at the 2025 Victorian State Kart Championship, held right here at OGKRC on March 7–9, 2025.
The championship brought together 290 elite drivers from across Australia and beyond, battling it out across 11 competitive classes in one of the most anticipated karting events of the year.
🏁 Victorian Combined Masters
In a thrilling final, Peter Gigis delivered a masterclass performance, going wheel-to-wheel with Tassie State Champion Mark Seddon. Peter held his nerve under pressure, crossing the line first to claim his second career State Championship plate—and his first in over a decade. He was joined on the podium by defending champion Ian Branson in second and Mark Seddon in third. A huge win for Peter and OGKRC!
🏆 KA3 Junior Heavy
Rising local talent Chris Lowe impressed the crowd with a fierce fight in the final against Anthony Poullos and Max Johnston. With incredible racecraft and composure, Chris clinched the top step of the podium to earn his first ever Victorian State Championship plate—a landmark victory in his young racing career.
